Slip Disc

Slip Disc, also known as a herniated or prolapsed disc, occurs when the soft inner portion of a spinal disc pushes out through a tear in its tougher outer layer. This can irritate nearby nerves, leading to symptoms such as back or neck pain, numbness, tingling, muscle weakness, or even pain radiating into the arms and legs depending on the disc’s location. Many patients find relief through non-operative treatments such as physiotherapy, medications, lifestyle modifications, and targeted exercises. In more severe cases where nerve compression is significant, advanced surgical options may be recommended to remove or repair the damaged disc and restore normal function.
