Spinal Fusion

Spinal Fusion is a surgical procedure designed to permanently join two or more vertebrae in the spine, eliminating motion between them. It is often recommended for patients with conditions such as degenerative disc disease, spinal instability, severe scoliosis, fractures, or chronic pain caused by abnormal movement between vertebrae.

During the procedure, bone grafts or implants are placed between the affected vertebrae, and over time, these fuse together to form a single, solid bone. In many cases, surgical hardware such as screws, rods, or plates is also used to provide stability while the fusion heals.
